Lodestone takes up the challenge to meet Queensland's energy needs.
Lodestone has begun implementation of an exciting strategy to supply coal seam gas and low carbon emission coals from south and central Queensland to both domestic and international markets.
Both of our major energy projects are close to existing infrastructure – the Tambo Coal & Gas Project in the Eromanga Basin near Blackall and the Moreton Energy Coal Project in the Clarence-Moreton Basin near Beaudesert.
Both of these projects are aimed at developing energy sources which emit less greenhouse gases than traditional coal.
- Coal Seam Gas enables us to use what would otherwise be a large source of greenhouse emissions as an energy source and enables us to increase efficiency by producing energy from two sources on the one tenement.
- Recovery of CSG will give us an additional source of low emission energy from existing coal resources.
- Our Walloon Coal project near Beaudesert contains up to 30% more organically-bound hydrogen than most thermal coals, producing less CO2 when burned.
If a name change is approved at the EGM, Lodestone Exploration will relaunch in late June as Lodestone Energy, with a new look and a new site.
