Lodestone’s Energy Focus
Lodestone is a Queensland company whose core focus has been redirected to the identification and appraisal of energy prospects. In particular, Lodestone is focused on coal seam gas (CSG) and energy coal projects in south and central Queensland.
Although the scientific debate on climate change is far from resolved, governments around the world are responding with policies designed to reduce carbon emissions.
Our company has adopted a long term strategy to build an energy business supplying coal seam gas and coal from our Walloon Coal projects to domestic and export markets. Walloon Coals contain up to 30 percent more organically-bound hydrogen than most other thermal coals, so when they are burned they produce lower emissions of carbon dioxide.
Both of our major energy projects are close to existing infrastructure, namely:
- The Tambo Coal & Gas project near Blackall, and
- The Moreton Energy Coal Project in the Clarence-Moreton Basin near Beaudesert.
