KARINYA PROJECT
Lodestone has farmed into the Karinya Zinc-Lead-Silver Project, 80 kilometres north-east of Adelaide.
- Exploration Licence 3420 covers 267 square kilometers, and is owned by Sedex Minerals Pty Ltd.
- Karinya's sedimentary horizons carry lead-zinc-silver mineralisation.
- The project area is intersected by two continental-style lineaments.
- Together, Karinya's stratigraphy and structure could provide a setting for significant base metal deposits.
- Karinya's black shales, stratabound gossans, and other features, suggest an environment that favours classic shale-hosted orebodies.
- Mount Isa, Sullivan (Canada) and Red Dog (Alaska) are the best known examples of this style of orebody to be pursued by Lodestone.
